The Plan of Salvation

A. You must first understand that all men are sinners.

It is not a question of how good you are or whether or not you are a church member. The Bible says "There is no one righteous, not even one" (Romans 3:10). "For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). To be saved you must realize that you are a sinner. Because we are all sinners we are all condemned to death. "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23).

B. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.

"But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8). "Therefore just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned" (Romans 5:12) "For God so loved the world, that he gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." "For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him" (John 3:16-17)
C. Confess Christ as your Savior.
"For if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord', and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved" Roman 10:9-10). "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness" (I John 1:9).
In summary, you must first realize your are a sinner. Next, pray to Jesus and tell him you realize you are a sinner and ask Him to save you. Last, tell someone about your decision and seek out a local Bible believing church where you can learn and grow.
